I went into NYC last night to see a wayang kulit show (Javanese shadow puppet theater) performed by dhalang Purbo Asmoro. I was impressed by the emotions and energy that were conveyable by projections of two-dimensional forms being rotated in three dimensions, and I wonder how well some of the techniques would transfer to animation software such as Flash...
